WHAT NEXT FOR THE PEOPLE OF MERU?

Image
Meru County, nestled on the eastern slopes of Mount Kenya, has long been a region of vibrant political activity. Known for its diverse culture, rich agricultural lands, and strategic importance, Meru is now becoming equally known for its political drama. The past months have seen Meru being a hotbed of political intrigue, power play, and even an attempted ouster of its governor. But what is really happening in Meru, and why is it so significant? The Political Landscape of Meru Meru's politics have always been colorful, characterized by a mix of traditional leadership structures and modern political dynamics. Historically, the region has been governed by a blend of community elders, known as the Njuri Ncheke, and elected officials. This unique interplay has often created a delicate balance between respecting traditional governance and embracing the democratic process. However, in the past few years, this balance has been disrupted. The county has experienced rising political tension

Murega Baichu claimed how the Meru MCAs have forced him out of the official residence of the governor.  First gentleman Meru County, Murega Baichu. Governor Kawira's husband went on to add that he will be sleeping in their house rather than the official residence since he is not an official of the government, asking EACC to clarify if he should sleep there with his wife or not. VISIONARY 2030 GOVERNMENT?

Image
The Kenya vision 2030 was first initiated, in 2008, by President Mwai Kibaki during his regime, whose main vision was to transform Kenya into a rapidly industrializing middle-income nation. Have you as a citizen taken time to visualize how the Kenyan government would look like in the next probably 8 years?  With the present day youths, who are referred to as the 'leaders of tomorrow' holding onto those big seats and positions. With the upgraded technology and use of internet, will things be fully digital? That is just but food for thought. Kenya is currently in the hands of a new government led by His Excellency President William Samoei Ruto. First president with a PHD holder, a unique thing I'd say. He is a vivid example of how one can rise to the highest position despite of ones background. With the recent leaders, who were rightfully appointed by Kenyan citizens, a lot of chaotic scenarios are arising. Some of the leaders are being accused of nepotism just a few weeks a

MILLIONAIRE HUSTLER? πŸ˜‚ JUNET ASKS ALFRED MUTUA.

Image
Minority Whip,  Junet Mohamed, earlier on questioned Foreign Affairs CS nominee, Alfred Mutua, of his 420 million networth. Former Machakos Governor, Alfred Mutua, had declared his worth to be around Ksh. 420 million during his vetting, claiming that his wealth is from his businesses, apartments, and hotels. "A few biashara here and there," added the Foreign Affairs CS nominee. Suna East MP,  Junet Mohammed, was however not convinced of the networth Alfred Mutua earlier mentioned, saying that it is too low for someone who owns a big hotel in Machakos. "This hotel in Machakos...this white one...is it yours your nominee," asked Junet Mohammed as he cracked people up in the County Hall, where the vetting was taking place, as he reminisced his good old days in Azimio where he one time had lunch in that hotel with Dr. Alfred Mutua. Answering Junet Mohammed, Alfred Mutua said that the A & L Hotel in Machakos is his and that he built it with a loan.  “If that hotel is

GET RICH QUICK? LEARN FROM THE VICTIMS.

Tana River Senator, Danson Mungatana, narrates his ordeal on how he lost all his money and investments in a 'Get-rich-quick' scheme. The Nairobi Court was left perplexed, on Thursday, as Senator Mungatana detailed how he lost all his wealth to an alleged foreigner. During a hearing, Mungatana recounts how one Abdoulaye Tamba Kouro, a Chad national, enticed him with a get-rich-quick scheme, which he assured to help him increase his wealth two folds. Mungatana said that he happily invested for the first time in 2013 Ksh. 500,000 with the Tamba, which he claimed to have doubled to one million Kenyan shillings in about 6 months. This made Mungatana trust the man and saw no harm of investing more money after the first deal of half a million went smoothly. The legislator said that he initially borrowed loans to invest for a second time with the West African foreigner. "This time round he said the opportunity is around 5 million Kenyan shillings. After 6 months your honour, the a

SERVANT LEADERSHIP - MERU COUNTY GOVERNOR'S SPOUSE SETS EXAMPLE

First female governor of Meru-cum-bishop, Governor Kawira Mwangaza, unveiled her cabinet weeks after being sworn in as the third governor of Meru County. Governor Kawira Mwangaza has appointed her husband Murega Baichu as the county's Youth Patron and Hustlers' Ambassador with no pay, stating that her husband will be more of a volunteer in the county. “This office will neither have a salary, nor will it have allowances. This office will be held by the first gentleman of the county,” said Governor Mwangaza. Murega Baichu's main work will be to serve as the Meru County Hustler Ambassador and patron of the Meru youth service.  His main goal will be to bring in his wide experience to the county’s executive as well as drive the hustler narrative in the county. This came with lots of criticisms with people questioning her decisions of appointing family, 'her husband,' into the cabinet. Noting to his newly appointed job, Baichu Murega acknowledged that his first mandate is
