An Escapade to Remember at Sagana’s Mimosa Park

An exquisite bush breakfast under the open skies on Sunday, August 17, 2025, unfurled like a vision from a glossy travel brochure. The cool air held the richness of dew-kissed grass, the aroma of freshly brewed tea curled upwards like a soft invitation, and the golden morning light flowed through the trees. Plates filled with hearty dishes passed around as laughter rang out, louder than the birdsong. For the Merians from Thika Greens, it was more than just a meal; it was a joyful bonding moment, where conversations flowed as freely as the tea, stories sparked endless laughter, and no one really wanted the morning to end. The adventure was far from over. With spirits high and hearts full, the company made its way from the rustic charm of the bush breakfast to the serene embrace of Mimosa Park for the day’s formal outing. HOPE AS MIKE SONKO OFFERS TO HELP BABY SAGINI RESTORE HIS SIGHT BACK

It is a sad dark ending for Baby Sagini, a three-year-old boy whose eyes were gouged out. Unknown to him and wondering why everything has turned black for him, he has to come to terms with the cruel reality of having to remain blind for the rest of his life, after both his eyes were mercilessly gouged out by an assailant. The boy was playing with other children outside his grandmother's house in Kisii before the grotesquely tragic experience happened to him. He was snatched by an assailant and was found abandoned in a maize plantation at Ikuruma village in Marani Sub-county covered in blood. He was then rushed to hospital, where he is receiving treatment.  Doctors have however said that he might not see again because his eyes were greatly damaged. Despite the breaking news of doctors confirming that Baby Sagini might have to live with a disability, all hope is not lost as Mike Sonko has offered to fly the three-year-old boy to China for eye implants. Putting on the whole Armor of God is important for any Christian that has given their lives to Christ and are following His teachings.  An armor is a garment made up of metallic pieces or other resistant material that are used to protect the body of the combatant. The armor of God represents the defense that Christians must take in their spiritual lives. As the Bible informs us, we (Christians) are at war with the devil, Satan, who wants to destroy the children of God. As Ephesians 6:10-18 tells us that for Christians to be able to stand against the wiles of the devil, they should be fully armed with the whole Armor of God. Christians battle against rulers and authorities in their daily lives, that is, the powerful evil forces of fallen angels who are headed by Satan a vicious fighter. 1 Peter 5:8 says, "Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."
