An Escapade to Remember at Sagana’s Mimosa Park
An exquisite bush breakfast under the open skies on Sunday, August 17, 2025, unfurled like a vision from a glossy travel brochure. The cool air held the richness of dew-kissed grass, the aroma of freshly brewed tea curled upwards like a soft invitation, and the golden morning light flowed through the trees.
Plates filled with hearty dishes passed around as laughter rang out, louder than the birdsong. For the Merians from Thika Greens, it was more than just a meal; it was a joyful bonding moment, where conversations flowed as freely as the tea, stories sparked endless laughter, and no one really wanted the morning to end.
The adventure was far from over. With spirits high and hearts full, the company made its way from the rustic charm of the bush breakfast to the serene embrace of Mimosa Park for the day’s formal outing. The atmosphere shifted, carrying with it a sense of reverence and anticipation.
Beneath the canopy of swaying trees, Mr. Fabian Kaburu, the Chairman, opened the gathering with a warm welcome, setting a tone of connection and celebration. Then, in a moment that stilled every heart, Dr. Josephine Kirimi delivered a moving Word of God, reminding us that wherever hearts gather in openness, His presence is sure to dwell. Her words wrapped the morning in purpose, sparking reflection and grounding the joy of the occasion in faith.
Then the energy soared. Coach Steve Muiru, founder of Born To Lead Academy, took the stage with his infectious humor and wisdom. His interactive session was no ordinary talk, it was an experience. We laughed, debated, and shared insights, each moment alive with energy and practical lessons that left us inspired and invigorated.
A brief interlude brought us down the hill to River Sagana, where the serene waters and breathtaking views offered a moment of calm, a reminder of the beauty that surrounds us and the peace that follows connection.
There, by the cool embrace of nature, we paused to soak in the beauty around us and the peace that follows true connection.
Laughter echoed against the gentle ripples as we captured the moment in beautiful pictures, snapshots that told stories of joy, friendship, and togetherness, etched forever against the serene backdrop of flowing water and lush greenery.

The afternoon erupted into joy and friendly competition as the games began. The vast lawns of Mimosa Park transformed into arenas of laughter and camaraderie. Teams strategized, stumbled, and cheered each other on, and every fall became a reason to laugh harder.
As the games session drew to a close, we culminated the fun with heartfelt family hugs, affirmations for each family, and shared moments of gratitude.
The highlight of the celebration came when Mr. Fabian Kaburu was honored by the wazees in the team with a heartfelt gift to mark his recent retirement, a moving gesture that beautifully captured the depth of gratitude and admiration for his years of dedication and steadfast leadership.
As the sun dipped behind the Sagana horizon, painting the sky in molten golds and purples, the day drew to a close. Tired but joyful, hearts full and smiles wide, we carried home a memory far greater than a Sunday outing, it was a day woven with faith, fellowship, celebration, and pure, unbridled joy.๐๐๐
