NEW DAWN IN THE METHODIST CHURCH IN KENYA

It is a new dawn to the Methodist Church in Kenya as they usher in a new Presiding Bishop. Bishop Isaiah Deye, the new Presiding Bishop, was elected in free and open elections held at the Methodist headquarters in Nairobi on Thursday, July 20, 2023. Bishop Deye, who hails from Kilifi County, is now the 7th Presiding Bishop, taking over from Bishop Ntombura whose term ended on August 4, 2022.  This comes as great news to all Tom, Dick and Harry in the Methodist Church in Kenya as the long fight to redeem the Methodist Church has finally yielded fruits. Bishop Deye who was acting as the Presiding Bishop, awaiting elections, has now been officially confirmed and will take office in January 2024. The entire body of believers in the Methodist Church in Kenya believes in the newly elected Presiding Bishop, Isaiah Deye, to steer and take the Methodist Church to greater heights with guidance from God.
