ABSURD DOUBLE TAKE-OFF

Popular Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido and his partner Chioma have lost their three-year-old son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known by his stage name Davido is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and record producer. He was born in November 21, 1992 and the 30-year-old gentleman is known across the world with one of his best selling music being 'Assurance.' The 30-year-old Davido is best known for blending traditional African elements with global mainstream pop in his music. 

According to reports, Davido's son, Ifeanyi, aged 3, drowned in a swimming pool at his parents residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.

Ifeanyi who was born in 2019 is reported to have been underwater for a very long time before being spotted and rushed to a nearby hospital. He was however confirmed dead on arrival.

The horrific incident happened on Monday night, a few days after celebrating his third birthday on October 20.

The report further stated that Davido was travelling to U.S.A when the horrific incident occurred while the mother to the child, Chioma, was believed to have travelled to Ibadan. The parents of the three-year-old child had however left him under the able care of his female domestic staff.

Davido and his partner Chioma Rowland have not made any official statement since the incident was confirmed to public.

The Lagos State Police Commander confirmed the death of Davido's son and promised to arrest anyone who would be found guilty in the ongoing investigations.

“It is true, the child is dead. About eight people were brought in for questioning and we are investigating the matter. Anyone found culpable in the death of the child would be arrested,” said Benjamin Hundeyin, police spokesman.

In other news, American rapper and a Migos member, Takeoff,  has been shot dead in Texas, U.S.A.

Kirshnik Khari Ball universally known as Takeoff , was an American rapper and has been best known as a member of the hiphop trio 'Migos' till his demise.


Takeoff grew up in Lawrenceville alongside his fellow Migos members: Quavo, his uncle and Offset, his cousin. 

The Migos group was formed in 2008 and released four albums, including the chart-topping ‘Culture’ and GRAMMY-nominated ‘Culture II’ in 2017 and 2018 respectively, which featured hits such as ‘Bad and Boujee’, Stir Fry’ and ‘MotorSport.'

Reports revealed that the 28-year-old rapper was shot to death at a bowling alley in Houston after an altercation broke out over a game of dice around 2;30 A.M this morning.

They were out celebrating the birthday of music executive, J. Prince, the CEO of Houston label Rap-A-Lot.

Takeoff also had a successful solo rap career, releasing his debut album in 2018 dubbed 'The Last Rocket.'

The Migos member, however, recently branched out to form the duo Unc and Phew alongside his uncle, Quavo.
