Kenya's Leadership Shocker: Kindiki Takes Deputy President Role in Mid-Term Power Shift!

It was a momentous moment for Kenyan politics: Professor Kithure Kindiki took the oath of office, earlier today at KICC Nairobi, and became the Deputy President of the country, going down in history as one of the few officials to assume such a high office before the end of an electoral term. Far from the usual five-year election cycle, this presents a new dawn in Kenya's political landscape, testing the stability of governance structures in the country. The swearing-in of Kindiki is significant, not only because transitions at the executive level at mid-term periods are rare but also for what it represents: adaptability in governance amidst an evolving political climate.  Conventionally, a deputy president should serve a full term with the president except in circumstances beyond their control. This appointment in the middle of the cycle has, however, driven the point home that leadership changes can occur through constitutional processes and not necessarily through electoral cycle

ALARMING CRIME RATES IN THE CITY!

Ever heard of  'Nairobi shamba la mawe' (Nairobi land of stones๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ if directly translated). This is a saying metaphorically used by most if not all Nairobians who have experienced and seen it all.

The crime rates and robbery are increasing at an alarming rate. These killer thugs are more than audacious to steal from 'common mwananchi' even in broad daylight.

Cases of people getting stabbed, even in broad daylight, have become rampant. The norm around the city, if I should say. Both young and old, men and women are these gangsters' audience; as they do not choose who to mug.

Most of these cases of people getting robbed and killed are in:

  • KCA Underpass and Total Exit.
  • ABC Place and Kangemi along Waiyaki Way.
  • Drive-In Flyover up to KCA.
  • Naivas Allsops along Thika Super Highway.
  • The CBD, Archives.
  • River Road.
  • Fig Tree Area.
  • Koja.
  • Pangani.
  • Kasarani.
  • Mwiki.
  • Railways.
  • Globe Round-about.
  • Dagoretti.
  • KBC offices area, among other areas.

These killer thugs are stealing any and every valuable they find you with. If you have a backpack with a laptop in it, you remain the main target. If you resist and fight them back, in order to protect your belonging, they shoot or stab you without reconsidering.

A view of Nairobi City.

Once you come across these fierce people, be sure to either lose your belonging or lose your life.

Save yourself and loved ones by avoiding these areas. If you have no other option but to pass through these targeted areas, ensure you are not walking alone, walk in a crowd that you know.

This is sad to note that someone is negatively dependant on you for their survival, with their only solution being: to rob you. Does this arise due to lack of jobs for such people? Do they do this at a point of desperation?

Before the government intervenes in such situations, save yourself and your loved ones.

Kaa rada (Stay woke). Nairobi is slowly becoming Nairobbery. This is where they say: "Man for himself, God for us all."
