Kenya's Leadership Shocker: Kindiki Takes Deputy President Role in Mid-Term Power Shift!

It was a momentous moment for Kenyan politics: Professor Kithure Kindiki took the oath of office, earlier today at KICC Nairobi, and became the Deputy President of the country, going down in history as one of the few officials to assume such a high office before the end of an electoral term. Far from the usual five-year election cycle, this presents a new dawn in Kenya's political landscape, testing the stability of governance structures in the country. The swearing-in of Kindiki is significant, not only because transitions at the executive level at mid-term periods are rare but also for what it represents: adaptability in governance amidst an evolving political climate.  Conventionally, a deputy president should serve a full term with the president except in circumstances beyond their control. This appointment in the middle of the cycle has, however, driven the point home that leadership changes can occur through constitutional processes and not necessarily through electoral cycle

EMBRACE GROWTH (Karwirwa Laura Way.)

Citizen TV Bambika show host, Laura Karwirwa, announced a sad yet exciting news on her transition on Sunday 4th September 2022. She hinted that it was her last show and shared how amazing it has been hosting Bambika for three years alongside her able co-hosts, known by their stage names as Timeless Noel and DJ Geegee.

Announcing her exit from the show, Laura shared that good things have an end and it was time to hang up her boots, musically and in the media, and focus on her studies.

The songwriter-cum-TV presenter said that she will be leaving the country for the UK to further her studies at the Oxford Brookes University.

A nervous yet excited Laura let the cat out of the bag and told her viewers during the show that her time on the show had come to an end, three years later it’s time to say goodbye to Bambika. She went ahead to say that she never knew it would come this soon but it’s a time of blessing and transition for her.

Adding to it, the multi-talented damsel said,

“Today marks the end of this season, into another season which is also quite intense. I am not only leaving the show but also leaving every familiar thing behind, my family, friends, country, and going to England, in the UK, particularly Oxford."

"I have an opportunity to pursue my Postgraduate studies, Masters in Public Health at Oxford Brookes University," explained the Ujulikane hit-maker.

Laura is an inspiration to multitudes, especially the youths, and a clear depiction that prayers, consistency and working smart gets rewarded.

I pick a lot from her and wish her nothing but the best as she ventures her new life.
